Modern Day Slavery in Construction

portrait-foreman-builder-workers-standing-together

The Modern Day Slavery in Construction course raises awareness of the risks of exploitation within the construction supply chain and helps workers and managers recognise the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking. Aligned with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and UK best practice, the course explains how vulnerable individuals may be coerced, controlled, or forced into labour, and why the construction sector is particularly at risk.

Learners will understand their responsibilities for reporting concerns, conducting due diligence, and promoting ethical practices across contractors and labour providers. By the end, participants will be better equipped to identify potential warning signs and support a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery on site.
