HAVS Training for Construction

The HAVS (Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome) Training course is designed to raise awareness of the risks associated with prolonged use of vibrating tools and machinery in the construction industry. Following HSE guidance, this training explains how regular exposure to vibration can cause serious health issues such as numbness, tingling, and long-term damage to blood vessels, nerves, and joints.

Learners will understand the legal responsibilities of employers and employees, how to recognise early symptoms, and the control measures that can reduce exposure — including safe working practices, tool maintenance, and monitoring vibration levels. By the end of the course, participants will be better equipped to protect themselves and others, helping to prevent HAVS and ensure a safer, healthier working environment.
