Eye Protection Training for Construction

The Eye Protection Training course highlights the importance of safeguarding one of the most vulnerable parts of the body when working in construction. Following HSE guidance, the course explains the risks posed by flying debris, dust, chemicals, sparks, and intense light, all of which can cause serious or even permanent eye injuries if the correct precautions are not taken.

Learners will understand the different types of eye protection available — such as safety glasses, goggles, and face shields — and when each should be used. The course also covers proper maintenance, cleaning, and storage of PPE to ensure ongoing effectiveness. By the end, participants will recognise the importance of wearing appropriate eye protection at all times, reducing the risk of injury and helping to maintain a safe and compliant construction site.
