Electrical Safety in Construction

The Electrical Safety Training course provides construction workers and supervisors with the knowledge to work safely around electricity and electrical equipment. Following HSE guidance and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, this course highlights the dangers of electric shock, burns, and fire, as well as the common causes of electrical incidents on construction sites.

Learners will understand how to identify electrical hazards, carry out visual checks, and follow safe systems of work when using tools, equipment, and temporary site supplies. The course also covers employer and employee responsibilities, isolation procedures, and the importance of using competent electricians for installations and repairs. By the end, participants will be better prepared to recognise risks, apply safe practices, and help prevent electrical accidents on site.
