Asbestos Awareness for Construction

Asbestos,Warning,Sign,,Set,Of,Six,Naturally,Occurring,Silicate,Minerals

Asbestos remains one of the most serious occupational health risks in the UK construction industry. This Asbestos Awareness course is designed for anyone who may come into contact with asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) during their work, including builders, electricians, plumbers, and other trades. It aims to provide the essential knowledge needed to avoid disturbing asbestos and to understand the correct procedures if it is encountered.

In line with HSE guidance (particularly Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012), the course covers the properties of asbestos, its health effects, typical locations where it may be found in buildings, and the responsibilities of employers and workers. It does not qualify workers to carry out asbestos removal but helps ensure they recognise the risks and act safely in accordance with the law.
